This is probably the most common bad habit of them all. Putting things off until later inevitably leads to stress and anxiety, both of which will prevent you from achieving your goals. It's ironic, really. The thing we do to avoid doing the things we don't want to do is what actually prevents us from achieving our goals. We put them off until later, which only leads to more stress and anxiety. And before we know it, years have gone by and we've accomplished nothing.
But don't worry – there are ways to overcome them! Here are a few tips:
1. Make a plan: When you have a specific plan in place, it's a lot easier to get started on your goal. Break down the task into smaller steps, and make sure each step has a specific deadline.
2. Set some rules for yourself
Striving for perfection can often lead to paralysis by analysis. Don't let the fear of not being perfect keep you from taking action and reaching your goals. There's a reason why they call it the "perfectionism paradox." The harder you try to be perfect, the more paralysed you become. You start to doubt yourself and second-guess every decision. What if you make a mistake? What if you're not good enough?
Before you know it, perfectionism has taken over and stopped you in your tracks. You become so bogged down in the details that you can't even take the first step. But here's the thing: You don't have to be perfect to achieve your goals. In fact, trying too hard can actually work against you.

The truth is, you don't need the approval of others to be happy in life. You are your own person!
5. Blame shifting:
Everyone makes mistakes. It's only human nature to mess up every once in a while. But instead of dwelling on your errors, it's important to learn from them and move on. That's easier said than done, of course, but it is possible. And the sooner you start taking responsibility for your own actions, the sooner you'll be able to fix whatever went wrong.
It's not always easy to face up to your mistakes, but that doesn't mean you can avoid them. In fact, if you want to improve as a person, you need to take a good hard look at yourself and figure out where you went wrong.
Nobody's perfect, but that doesn't mean you have an excuse to give up or blame others.
